An introduction to Juicing

The Basics of Juicing

My good friend  Charles asked me to write a post on juicing recipes. This is my favorite topic because it is something that I have been doing for awhile and I strongly believe in for its nutritional benefits. It is one of the most consistent things I’ve incorporated into my lifestyle. If I don’t  juice,  I make smoothies. It’s good to alternate….and for the record juices and smoothies do different things for the body… (will cover this on next post)

In addition to recipes, it is important to cover everything about juicing… Having the right juicer, using the best quality vegetables, using tons of leafy greens, and of course, tasty and healthy recipes.

Today I will cover the basics. The upcoming posts will cover everything in between.

For the last four years, juicing has been the best way to incorporate vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and enzymes.  It provides me with an array of benefits. For this reason using a variety of vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, and alternating is key.  It also allows my digestive system to instantly absorb all its nutrients. This is important since most of us possibly don’t have an optimal digestive system due to the unhealthy choices we have made in our pasts. It is the best way to get our daily vegetable intake as well.

Some recipes are better than others. It depends on what you are looking for. If you are interested in healing your body, juicing “greens” is the best way to go. I will cover this in more detail in my upcoming ” Juice Series” posts.

In my experience Juicing has given me so much vitality, energy and it has helped me in detoxifying from all those years of not being so health conscious. I lost weight too. The more I juice the more my body craves plant-based whole foods. It has been an amazing experience.

Love it. I juiced for awhile then stopped due to time and not finding recipes for greens that I enjoyed. Would love to start back now that I have more time. Any good recipes would be great my Lady. Miss you
